Shiver (Eskalofrío) is a fantastic little flick for this time of year. Be prepared for subtitles - unless you’re fluent in Spanish. The cinematography and use of grays and shadows accentuate the ominous and mysterious tone of the film. Santi is an outcast because of his nocturnal lifestyle due to a condition which, for health reasons, prevents him from going into the sunlight. Almost like a vampire.

So, Santi and his mother move to an isolated, shadowy, mountain village where the days are shorter which equals less sunlight. But someone or something is in the forest. No doubt. Imagine The Jungle Book or Tarzan but gone horribly wrong and with a lot more murder and dark secrets.
